2012 theater market share

 The winner:

  (Broadway/AMC)

Broadway/AMC combined for 40% of box office last year. It's easy to see why. It has the most theaters and it distributed 2 films from the top 10, which banked more than 5m each, and 3 films from the top 15. Most of that money was being made in Broadway/AMC theaters.

UA grossed 25% last year due to very high sales from Langham Place, iSquare and the 3 IMAX theaters.

Golden Harvest was next with 12%. MCL was close behind Golden Harvest for 4th.

MCL theater The GRAND accounted for 5% of box office, which is pretty incredible.
